About

Brand & Growth Advisory

Allison Walker operates as a Fractional Chief Brand, Communications and Marketing Officer, helping companies uncover their cultural relevance, then catalyze it into brand equity, consumer demand, and enterprise value.

Fifteen-plus years in consumer brands taught me something a little uncomfortable: most companies do not have a marketing problem. They have a clarity problem wearing a marketing costume. The channels are fine. The agencies are fine. Nobody has decided what the company means and how to articulate that.

I've worked inside and alongside Therabody, Jazzercise, CVS\pharmacy, Lexus, and Too Faced across recovery tech, legacy fitness, mass retail, luxury automotive, and beauty. Different price points, same underlying job: understand what people actually need and desire, then build a brand they recognize themselves in.

What I connect: positioning, communications, PR, advertising, content, partnerships, social, influencer, and media mix. Most senior marketers are excellent through one of those doors. My advantage is holding the whole vision at once: seeing how a press strategy changes the retail conversation, how a product decision changes the pitch, how a founder's LinkedIn post changes an investor call.

I'm direct, with a dash of humor. I will tell you when the campaign is not the problem. I read the culture your consumer lives in, not just the category report. And I'd rather build one idea that compounds than six that politely coexist.

What I Believe

Marketing begins before the product.

Marketing is most powerful when consumer understanding helps shape product and service innovation — not simply promote what has already been created.

Media is not a substitute for meaning.

More impressions do not solve a positioning, awareness, or perception problem. What people know about a brand and how they feel about it usually matters more than any vanity metric.

Marketing works as a system.

The advantage comes from connecting product, positioning, communications, PR, content, advertising, social, influencer, partnerships, and media around one clear idea the consumer understands, seeks out, and trusts.
